David Campbell, who died in 2009, aged 65, had a profound impact on the development of UK family therapy and systemic thinking. He also developed a unique vision about the application of systemic theory and practice to the understanding of organisations, and how organisational consultation and leadership practices can be enriched by attention to systemic ideas. He consulted widely to organisations and, along with collaborators, wrote a number of books on systemic approaches to organisational consultation, yet his work is now rarely referenced. This workshop will remind participants of his working methods by giving a lived experience of his process of inquiry, and consider how his key ideas about working with organisations and consultancy fit with our current contexts.

The conference is organised by the Association for Family Therapy and Systemic Practice
