This presentation/workshop is a collaboration between two systemic therapists who live over 10,000 miles apart, collided serendipitously at a Paolo Bertrando webinar and hope to meet for the first time to bridge gaps of geography, incoherence and the infinite unexplored terrains of the systemic worlds…..

What if the messy, incoherent moments we often avoid are the keys to transformation? In this innovative and experiential workshop, we invite participants to explore the transformative potential of relational randomness and incoherence as pathways to deeper connection and healing. Drawing from systemic and narrative therapy, creative collaboration, and philosophical insights, we challenge the over-structured models that dominate contemporary therapeutic practice. Moving beyond these rigid frameworks and "super coherent" systems, we’ll embrace the unpredictable sparks that emerge when we allow space for the unexpected in therapeutic practice. Through engaging and playful experimentation, evocative storytelling, and interactive discussions, we will create a space to honour the wisdom of ancestors while fostering a future that embraces the messiness of human connection.

Participants will reflect on their own relational experiences, experiment with creative methods to disrupt rigid patterns, and leave with tools to cultivate spontaneity and authentic connection in their practice. Expect to leave inspired, energised, and ready to disrupt “business as usual” in therapy—armed with practical, imaginative tools to bring spontaneity, joy and transformative potential into your practice.
