The DWP groups - 'race', age, gender and sexuality, class, ableism - are joining together to present this workshop.

We will reflect on how ideas and conceptualisations around minoritised identities have been used to pathologise groups of people in mental health systems. The family therapy field has been influenced by these harmful ideas and practices. We will describe how ideas have changed over time and how we hope they may continue to develop.

The conference is organised by the Association for Family Therapy and Systemic Practice
