Hilary and Raphael will speak to their practice experiences of embedding systemic approaches to working with children and families in contact with the criminal justice system in the UK. They will draw from their varied experiences as social workers and family therapists, and their current leadership roles in organisations working outside of local authorities to influence best practice. The workshop aims to highlight the ethical dilemmas and challenges in implementing work that considers family, community and the self of the professional in a system that historically adopts an individualistic approach.

The conference is organised by the Association for Family Therapy and Systemic Practice
