Dr Hossein Kaviani

Dr Hossein Kaviani is a clinical psychologist and has been working for approximately 20 years as an academic staff involved in both teaching and research activities. His teaching is mainly on psychotherapy and counselling. He followed two lines of research, namely (a) clinical psychology specifically in association with cognitive aspects of depression and anxiety; (b) the link between psycho-social characteristics and soci-political behaviour. He is currently involved in a research to explore how education in children can enhance their empathy, compassion and tolerance of differences. Hossein worked concurrently as a psychotherapist registered with HCPC and accredited by BABCP. His clients included people problems such as depression, anxiety, OCD and family conflicts.
