Alastair Pearson

Over the course of the last 30 years Alastair has worked as a social worker and systemic psychotherapist in an East London CAMHS service. More recently he has helped to establish and jointly manage a new Schools Mental Health Support Team, working with schools to improve the availability of mental health support to pupils and put wellbeing at the heart of school practice and culture. He has published widely and co-edited an edition of Context on systemic practice in schools. He has served as an advisor to a NICE committee on social and emotional wellbeing in schools and is a Trustee at the Institute of Family Therapy and member of the AFT Diversity, Equalities and Inclusion committee.
