Bristol Symposium 2020: Working with Couples: Navigating difference and sustaining connections
The West Country branch of AFT welcomes you to the vibrant city of Bristol for AFT’s 2020 symposium on the theme of Working with Couples: Navigating Difference and Sustaining Connections.
For Family and Systemic Therapists working with people of any age group, strengthening the couple relationship is key to providing a nurturing home life, safety and protection , and recovery from mental distress. We are pleased to be focussing on this important area of practice for a whole day, and to be thinking widely about difference and inclusion in a range of work contexts and relationships.
Bristol is a city with a proud history of multi-cultural diversity, thriving musical and street-art scenes, and a flourishing LGBTQ community. The 2020 symposium theme of navigating difference and sustaining connections links to the city’s maritime history of exploration and its modern ethos of celebrating differences and building communities.
We are delighted to welcome you to our 2020 symposium, whether you are looking to increase your confidence in working with couples, or are seeking to extend your expertise in diverse client groups, and we trust that you will find our key note speakers and wide range of workshops to be inspiring and stimulating.
